Vegan.Say hello to some of the cutest bread rolls you will ever see. Deliciously light and fluffy vegan bread rolls, shaped into bears. Look at them- so sweet!Decorated with dairy-free chocolate details to bring them to life, these rolls are great for lunch or as a snack.As you may have seen on my blog or Instagram, I am the proud owner of a DeDietrich oven! It’s my pride and joy!This recipe is in collaboration with DeDietrich.I’ve been experimenting with the ovens features and decided to try out the bread function.It baked these buns to perfection with an all-round even bake, giving them a light and fluffy bread filling and a gorgeous golden colour on top.Preparation- 1 & 1/2 hoursBaking time- 28-30 minutesServes- Approximately 10Level- Easy…Ingredients -300ml of dairy-free milk (room temperature)-1 tablespoon of vegan butter (melted)-2 tablespoons of sugar (I use golden caster sugar)-7g of active dry yeast-500g of self-raising flour-Pinch of saltExtras-Melted dairy-free white and dark chocolate…To make the bunsStep 1- In a bowl, combine the dairy-free milk, melted butter, sugar and yeast.Stir to combine, set aside and allow to activate for 10 minutes.Step 2- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt.Step 3- Pour the yeast mixture into the dry and stir until a dough begins to form.Step 4- Turn out on a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.This will take a few minutes.Step 5- Place the dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel and place into a warm area.Allow the dough to double in size.This will take around an hour.Step 6- Once doubled in size, divide the dough into 10 equal pieces, roll into balls and place into a baking tin.Roll out smaller balls for the ears and noses.Step 7- Cover the tin with a towel and allow the dough to rise again for a further 30 minutes.Step 8- Towards the end of the dough rising time, heat the oven to 180 degrees c.Step 9- When the rolls have risen, place them into the oven and bake for 28-30 minutes or until golden brown in colour.Step 10- When they’re baked, remove from the oven and brush melted vegan butter over the rolls (optional).You can enjoy the rolls warm or allow them to cool slightly and decorate with melted chocolate.I added two dark chocolate dots for the eyes, a white & dark chocolate mouth.Store in a sealed container and enjoy within a few days.Best enjoyed fresh, day of making.PIN MEShop the whole ‘DeDietrich’ range here.This is a paid collaboration with DeDietrich.
